Functieomschrijving
Do you have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and enjoy building reliable, scalable cloud-native platforms? At Budget Thuis, we are developing a modern internal platform that supports multiple development teams across the Netherlands and Ukraine. In this role, you will help shape, improve, and scale that platform.
What you will do
As a Platform Engineer, you will join a growing platform team responsible for building and operating our Kubernetes-based infrastructure and internal developer platform.
You will:
Manage and improve Kubernetes clusters in production environments
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform (and/or Ansible)
Improve and automate CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (GitOps with tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD)
Support developers in building, deploying, and running containerised applications
Contribute to the design and improvement of our Internal Developer Platform (IDP)
Work on reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimisation of our cloud environment
Participate in incident response and on-call rotation
Collaborate closely with developers and other engineers to remove friction in delivery pipelines
The team
You will join a small, international, and highly collaborative platform team. We work closely with development teams and focus on enabling them to deliver software quickly and reliably. We operate in a pragmatic engineering culture where ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement are key. Our daily stand-ups help us align, solve problems together, and continuously improve how we work. The environment is informal, technical, and focused on building solutions that work in production at scale.
